Platinum End Manga by Bakuman, Death Note Creators Gets TV Anime in Fall 2021



On Saturday a stage presentation of the 21st event at the Jump Festa revealed that Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's Platinum End manga will be getting a television anime adaptation that will air on TBS in the year 2021. 

1. The anime is going to be directed by Hideya Takahashi (Strike Witches: Road to Berlin, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) at Signal. MD.

2. The work of designing characters is done by Kōji Ōdate (No Game, No Life).

3. The series composition is handled by Shinichi Inotsume (PERSONA 5 the Animation, Hayate the Combat Butler, Gangsta. 

4. The art is handled by KUSANAGI

5. CGI director is Masanori Ikeda

6. The sound director at Magic Capsule is Takatoshi Hamano

7. On December 2, Pony Canyon Inc. was appointed as registering the "Anime-PlatinumEnd.com". 


Viz Media is simultaneously publishing the manga in English digitally since the manga's launch. The company is even publishing the manga in print and will be publishing the 12th volume on January 5.

The company has described the first volume as :


''As his classmates celebrate their secondary school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired darkly . But his battle is simply beginning when he receives some salvation from above within the sort of an angel. Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans during a battle during which the winner becomes subsequent god of the planet . Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive".


Death Note from 2003 to 2006 and Bakuman from 2008 to 2012, are the two creators serialized and both are in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Some anime and live-action adaptations are inspired by the both manga.
