Gintama The Final Anime Film Franchise Achieve more than 1 Billion Yen


The New Anime Flim 'Gintama: The Final' of Hideaki Sorachi's Gintama manga, has sold more than 1 million tickets to achieve a franchise record of 1.74 billion ye which is about 16.3 million US dollars as noticed on Monday. The character designers of the Flim and animation director chief Shinji Takeuchi drew the illustration to celebrate the milestone.

On 8th January, the film opened at First in Japan and ended Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, The Movie: Mugen Train's 12 following weekends at the top of the box office in Japan. The is based upon the original manga on the finale, came along with new story elements.


The manga has inspired a new anime (net) special titled 'Gintama The Semi-Final' with a tale that is a 2 episodes spin-off to the film. In Japan, on 15th January the net anime exclusively premiered on the dTV service

The film also contains a novel that shipped on 8th January, by Mirei Miyamoto.

Manga Series of Gintama (Genre: science-fiction period-drama comedy") began in the year 2003 and ended in 2019 with the circulation of over 55 million copies. In July 2018, the latest anime series premiered. Numerous original video anime (OVA), anime event, two live-action net spinoffs and live-action films have been inspired by the manga. The manga's first 23 volumes in English have been published by Viz Media.

In December 2019, Hulu started streaming new English dub the first 49 episodes of the first television series.

In 2010 and 2011 the anime's first 49 episodes were released on DVD by Sentai Filmworks.
