Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Tops 10 Million in Circulation
On Thursday, Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen manga made an announcement on his official Twitter account that with newly prints of all volumes, manga series is on the top in circulation of 10 million copies which also includes digital copies. In March 2018 Akutami released the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Shueisha is also issuing the English manga on its website "MANGA Plus"
Shueisha describes the manga :
"For some strange reason, Yuji Itadori, despite his insane athleticism would rather just hang out with the Occult Club. However, her soon finds out that the occult is as real as it gets when his fellow club members are attacked! Meanwhile, the mysterious Megumi Fushiguro is tracking down a special-grade cursed object, and his search leads him to Itadori..."
Viz Media has already published the first three chapters of manga in English together with Japan as a part of its Japan initiative. In December 2018 it switched to its new Shonen Jump model. Company digitally started publishing new chapters of the manga.
On October 2nd, The television anime series of the manga was premiered and it will be having 24 episodes. Crunchyroll is now streaming the anime outside the Aisa continent as the anime airs in Japan. The series also creates mini anime shorts after the credit part ends.
The anime is directed at MAPPA by Sunghoo Park (The God of High School), Writing and Supervising the scripts are done by Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: Lost Girls, Banana Fish, Vinland Saga), Characters are designed by Tadashi Hiramatsu (His and Her Circumstances, Yuri!!! on Ice, Parasyte -the maxim-), Music is composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama.
