Way of the Househusband Manga Gets Anime Series on 2021
Netflix Anime Festival of the year 2020 has made an announcement that Kousuke Oono's The Way of the Househusband (Alternate Name: Gokushufudō) manga is inspiring an anime series beginning worldwide on Netflix in 2021. Kenjiro Tsuda directed and starred as Tatsu in a live-action promotional video last December for the manga.
The anime will be directed by Chiaki Kon (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III, Devils and Realist, Junjō Romantica) at J.C. Staff, and series scripts will be supervised by Susumu Yamakawa (Back Street Girls: Gokudols)
The Way of the Househusband is a story of a retired yakuza (Immortal Tatsu) member. He is living out his post-crime career as a househusband and he still manages to find a way into trouble every now and then , except it's in the passage of grocery shop instead of some back passageway
In February 2018 Oono launched the manga on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website, on 9th June Shinchosha published the fifth volume and manga in English are getting published by Media, and the fourth volume was released on September 15.
This manga series Househusband won the Best Humor Publication category at 2020 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards. The way of householdhusband series was acknowledged as a runner-up in previous year's Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards' web manga sector. And It also came in at #9 in this year's Web Manga General Election. The Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook for 2019 indexed the manga at #8 for its top manga series for men.The Way of the Househusband also ranked on Honya Club's "Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics" lists for 2018 and 2019.
