Dragon ball martial arts in real life


 Dragon Ball is one of the best anime /manga out there. I will show you 10 fighting styles used by dragon ball characters that exist in real life too.

     1: KI Power Is Based On Qigong

Qigong is the energy source that helps all characters to power up in the Dragon Ball. Ki is the lifeforce in Dragon Ball that allows characters to do a various things like flying and energy blasts.

Qigong from China is a old system of coordinated body-posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial-arts training.


2: Mr Satan Is Based On Count Dante's Karate

Hercule Satan is based on a person known as Count Dante. He was a martial artist who was known for his Karate style. The poster for the school is very similar to Hercule Satan even their hair style afro is comparatively

 similar. The seriousness Hercule Satan style is a version of Karate. This possibly makes sense since Karate has a lot of different styles and it is one of the most popular martial arts in the world.



3: Yajirobe's Swordsman style is based on Iaijutsu

Yajirobe is known for his swift swordswomanship. His moves ,that are very similar to old classic Samurai style. The fighting style he have is similar to the Japanese style of Iaijutsu, where the user uses old classic techniques with the Japanese katana.


4: Yamcha Wolf's Fang Fist Technique Is based on Like Tiger Style Martial Arts 
Yamcha is known for his technique Wolf Fang Fist, which is an open-palm style that strikes at very fast speed. Dragon Ball is greatly inspired by Chinese kung fu and it's mythology, open-palm known for it's ferocious power, speed and clawed movements.



5: Master Roshi's Style Is Based On The Drunken Fist

Master Roshi is based on a person known as Jackie Chan. He is famous for his Drunken Fist style, where the opponent cannot read the movements and attacks and its unpredictable. It has been shown during Master Roshi's fight against Kid Goku, where he uses the same technique against him.



6: Tien's Style is based on Elements Of Crane Style

Tien Shinhan follows the Crane School style, there are elements of fast and direct martial art systems within the fighting style. Tien's style is more composite then anything, it is likely that this is just an aspect to his overall form.



7: Krillin's Style Is Based on Shaolin Martial Arts

Krillin has been given elements of Shaolin Martial Arts in his fighting style, From Chinese kung fu . it is within Wushu which is a acrobatic style. Before getting trained by Master Roshi, he use to train at a Shaolim temple.



8: Hit's Style Is Based On Wing Chun And Boxing

When Hit was first introduced in Dragon Ball Super, his style was very different from others. Hit's assassin style looks like it took inspiration from both Wing Chun and Boxing. He takes elements of Wing Chun from the stance and fast strikes, but he implements Boxing jabs rather than the strikes seen in Wing Chun.

9: Whis's Style Is Based On Wing Chun Kung Fu

 Whis has entirely adapted Wing Chun Kung Fu. Whis implement the stances, and the movements of it as well.

Moving like water, Whis often bounces around and instead of outright blocking strikes he pushes them aside.


10: Goku's Style Is Based On Different Forms Of Kung Fu
 Goku is the example of a mixed martial art. He takes elements of everything, from the eclectic wushu seen in all of Dragon Ball, to taking moves and techniques from the martial art philosophy of Jeet Kune Do, One-inch punch that he does against Frieza. A move which is similar to Bruce Lee's.
